Aaron Smirl, Bass

Known West of the Mississippi as "Smirly," Aaron plays a vital role in The Saint Helens Show  in addition to his stellar bass playing and vocals.  He composes the beautiful music to unite with Bob's lyrics.  As one commentator perceptively noted, "Aaron Smirl turns The Saint Helens Show  into a high-quality musical creation."

To summarize:

A man of bass, with groove and grace,

Smirly whirls time and space.

His fingers find the low notes true,

Where root and rhythm lock and groove.

In mind and studio where tracks all grow,

He bends The Show  to ebb and flow;

A musical wit, both sharp and free,

Who loves to play—and let ears see.

On stage or screen his joy is clear:

Where Smirly plays, the groove draws near.
